NEMESIS

Nemesis is one of the Greek Deities. She was the spirit of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods). She personified vengeful fate as a remorseless goddess: the goddess of revenge. Her name is often associated with meaning “the inescapable”. She solidified this with her actuions during the vengeful patricide of Zeus as was the one who landed the killing stroke on Hades. She destroyed his pitchfork and with it gained a portion of his power – proving that not even the god of death can escape fate. The Lilly and the swan are sacred to her.
