Beginning at level 20, characters may begin amassing EXP towards achieving Divine Rank.
When the character has acquired 500,000 XP after level 20, they reach divine Rank 0. Each divine rank past this point is achieved at another 500,000 xp + 100,000 xp per level of divine rank. Divine rank 1 to 2 600k, divine rank 2 to 3 is 700k and so on.
A deity receives 1 XP when their name is invoked , or the gods of your pantheon are invoked for something related to a domain that he possesses, in prayer or religious ritual. This only occurs if the individual truly worships the deity and only once per person ever. The only other way for a deity to receive xp is to defeat another supernatural creature. This does not necessarily mean they kill them. The xp from common adventuring is no longer gained.
Upon achieving divine rank, a creature gains the following benefits:
He Gains a leveling point at divine rank zero. In addition they also gain an additional leveling point for each level of divine rank after zero.
A deity may now take Meta-magic feats. The feat can be applied to any spell, and used up to 3 times a day.
A deity now qualifies for Epic Feats. For the purpose of Level pre-requisites, you may add your divine rank to your class level.
He Gains 10 + con modifier HP at divine rank zero. The deity also gains an additional 1+ con modifier HP for each level of divine rank after zero.
All deities (even those of rank 0) are naturally immortal and cannot die from natural causes. Deities do not age, and they do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe. However they can choose to eat or drink but it does not nourish them
Deities gain 1 Divine Salient Ability starting at rank 0 and gain one additional every other level of divine rank. Example 0,2,4 and 6
A deity gains an aura that either generates fear or awe with a DC equal to 10 + their divine rank. The aura can be turned on or off as a free action and has a range of 50ft.
A deity gains two immunities from the following list: Polymorphing, petrifaction, disintegration , mind-affecting spells and abilities, poison, electricity, cold, acid or fire.
All deities gain immunities to disease level drain, energy drain, ability drain and ability damage.
He gains a spell resistance of 10+ divine rank
He gains a divine bonus to AC, Attack Rolls, Saving Throws, and all Skill Checks equal to his divine rank.
He gains an additional standard actions per round. In addition they gain an additional standard action at divine rank 5 and divine rank 10
He gains divine energy resistance for all energy types equal to their divine rank. This stacks with all other energy resistance.
He gains damage reduction 1/- equal to their divine rank. This stacks with all other damage reduction
A deity of divine rank 1 or higher can hear, see and smell anyone in their temples or shrines. The same applies to their disciples and any time their name is invoked. This sense extends to the distance they can normally perceive. A deity with at least one domain can speak with any person within their divine perception. The deity can normally only communicate directly with individual they are speaking to or they can use a divine focus such as a holy symbol or statue to communicate to everyone in the area. This communication can last a number of minutes equal to 3+ their divine rank. The deity can have a number of remote viewings active at a time equal to their divine rank.
A deity of divine rank 1 or higher begins acquiring domains. They can not have a number of domains greater than their divine rank. At rank 1, he may gain an alignment domain. If a character is Good or Evil, he must take that domain first. If his Good/Evil access is Neutral, he may select Law or Chaos instead.. At divine rank 2 they can choose law or chaos if they have not already done so. Any other domains have to be acquired through supernatural means. Domains can be acquired by supernatural means before achieving divine rank, but these incur no benefit to the holder until they achieve the rank at which they can be used.
A deity of divine rank 1 or higher gains the domain powers of all of their domains. A deity can cast any spell from their domains as a standard action . The caster level of any spell cast by a deity in this manner is considered to be CL 21.
At divine rank 3, He gains and additional 10 movement speed. This increases by 10 again at Divine Rank 6, 9, etc. This applies to all types of movement including but not limited to ground, swimming and flying if applicable. This only affects movement modes the deity has in its current form.
A deity gains the ability to grant the availability to access a magic class to a single disciple starting at divine rank 5. The deity will chooses a single magic class and will be able to grant their disciple the ability to gain levels in that class. Once this choice is made it is permanent and can not be changed. In addition they also gain an additional disciple for each level of divine rank after 5. There are supernatural means in which deities are able to gain additional magic classes and disciples.
Salient Divine Abilities
|Shape change||The deity can assume the form of any creature or object, but not the form of another deity. The deity can take any form, living or unloving, corporal or incorporeal. The deity gains the supernatural abilities of the assumed form. This is an extraordinary ability that can be done as a swift action a number of times per day equal to 3+ intelligence modifier.|
|Divine Shield||As a free action, the deity can create a shield that lasts 10 minutes and protects the deity’s body and equipment from attacks. The shield stops 10 points of damage per divine rank. Once the shield stops that much damage, it collapses. The damage can be from any source, including but not limited to magic, energy, direct or indirect attacks. The deity can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + its Constitution bonus. The deity can adjust the shield so that it does not block damage the deity ignores anyway. For example, if the deity is immune to fire, the deity might want to adjust the shield to ignore fire damage.|
|Battle Sense||The deity cannot be surprised or flanked except by a deity of higher rank. The deity retains its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class even if caught flat-footed or attacked by an invisible, is not subject to being flanked and is not subject to sneak attacks except by deities of higher rank.|
|Call Creatures||The deity can bring creatures to serve and aid it. The creatures willingly serves to the best of their ability The kind of creature the deity can call is noted in the deity’s description. The creature can not have hit dice greater than 10+ the deity’s divine rank. The deity can summon a number of creatures equal to their divine rank. The creature is summoned very similarly to the effect of a gate spell.|
|Control Creatures||The deity can control a particular type of creature. The creatures follows the deities without question and to the best of its abilities. The creatures willingly serves to the best of their ability The kind of creature the deity can call is noted in the deity’s description. The creature can not have hit dice greater than 10+ the deity’s divine rank.|
|Craft Artifact||The deity can craft magic and artifact level arms and armor, staffs, wands, wondrous items, rings, and scrolls. They must still acquire the materials and make the appropriate craft checks. The caster level of any magic item or artifact made by a diety is counted as CL 21.|
|Divine Battle Mastery||The deity can make an unlimited number of attacks of opportunity in one round. (The deity still can’t make more than one attack of opportunity against a single opponent in a round.) In addition as a full-round action, the deity may make one melee attack at its full base attack bonus against each opponent within reach. The deity does not incur any attacks of opportunity from this action. This can be done a number of times per day equal to 3+ their strength modifier|
|Divine Blast||The deity can make an a ranged touch attack that does 3+ its Charisma bonus in divine damage as a standard action. The deity can make the ray look, smell and feel like anything they want. They can target anything in their perception including remote perception from spells and abilities. The damage can not be dodged, their is no saving throw, it bypasses all forms of energy resistance and spell resistance does not apply.|
|Divine Skill Focus||The deity chooses a skill and gains a +10 ranks in that skill. This may only be taken once per skill.|
|Free Move||The deity can move up to its speed once a round as a free action. This can be done a number of times per day equal to 3 + their dex modifier|
|Extra immunity||The deity can choose an additional immunity from the divine immunity list.|
|Power of Life and Death||The deity can kill any mortal creature they touch. Like wise the deity can bestow life upon any dead mortal creature they touch. This does not heal injury, restore lost body parts or reverse decomposition. This includes plants. This can be done a number of times per day equal to their divine rank.|
|Know Death||The deity knows the exact moment and circumstances of any mortal creature’s death just by looking at the creature or the creatures spirit.|
|Power of Nature||The deity can perform any of the following in a radius of one mile a number of times per day equal to their divine rank. Quell or create winds up to 200 miles per hour. Change the temperature anywhere from 120 to -50 degrees. Create fog, hail, snow or thunder storms at will. This is maintained as a long as the deity concentrates plus a number of minutes equal to their divine rank.|
|Power of Truth||The deity can discern lies and compel creatures to tell the truth at will.|
|Power of Luck||The deity can give a creature good or bad fortune. That creature either gains a luck bonus or penalty to all roles equal to the deities divine rank. This lasts a number of days equal to 3 + wisdom modifier|
|Increased Damage Reduction||The deity gains an additional 3/- damage reduction. This stacks with all other damage reduction.|
|Increased Spell Resistance||The deity gains an additional 10 spell resistance.|
|Increase Saving Throws||The deity gains an additional divine bonus to their saving throws equal to their divine rank. This stacks with other divine bonuses to saving throws.|
|increased Armor||The deity gains an additional divine bonus to their armor class equal to their divine rank. This stacks with other divine bonuses to AC.|
|Increased Health||The deity gains an additional number of hit points equal to their divine rank+ their con modifier.|
|Increased Energy Resistance||The deity gains additional 3 energy resistance to all energy types. This stacks with all other types of energy resistance.|
|Feat||The deity can choose any feat as long as it meets its prerequisites.|
|Divine Strength||Gain +10 divine bonus to str. this can only be taken one time.|
|Divine Dexterity||Gain +10 divine bonus to dex. This can only be taken one time.|
|Divine Constitution||gain +10 divine bonus to con. This can only be taken one time.|
|Divine Intelligence||gain +10 divine bonus to int. This can only be taken one time.|
|Divine Wisdom||gain +10 divine bonus to wis. This can only be taken one time.|
|Divine Charisma||gain +10 divine bonus to cha. This can only be taken one time.|
|Epic Spellcasting||The character may develop and cast epic spells. That is spells that are unique and are considered to be level 10. The deity must be able to cast 9th level divine spells and possess at least 21 ranks in Knowledge (Religion) or Knowledge (Nature) to make an epic level divine spell. The deity must be able to cast a 9th level arcane spells and possess 21 ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) to make an epic level arcane spell. The type of effects the spell can have are limited to effects that are similar to those in a domain or school of magic that the deity has access to. This domain or school is a prerequisite of the ability, and if the deity looses access to it, he looses access to this ability as well. The deity may learn a single epic level spell each time this salient ability is purchased. The deity may cast a number of epic spells per day equal to 1/2 of their divine rank rounded up. This ability may be purchased more than once however the number of spells cast per day is only calculated one time.|
